SUNDAY, June 27, 4:30 PM Granby Polhamus Park.    Come join us at the Pig in the Park picnic in Granby behind the Town Hall a block off Hwy 40 Sunday, June 27 at 4:30 PM.   This is a fabulous opportunity to come meet and greet the candidates.  Don’t let the decision be made for you in the primary.  Get yourself informed, and be there in the primary.

Confirmed to be there are our local County Candidates;   Gubenatorial candidate, Dan Maes;    US Representative Candidate,  Stephen Bailey;    State Senate Candidate, Tim Leonard;      and State House Candidate, Randy Baumgardner.   We’ll have a speaker here for US Senatorial Candidates, Ken Buck and Jane Norton, who have several other engagements for this Sunday.   We hope to have additional candidates there as well, but have not received definite confirmations.

Really folks.  You don’t want to miss this.    This party presents the opportunity to meet and greet, up close and personally, the folks who are running to represent us.   Remember that “we the people” thing?

$15 Single;     $25 Couple;    $45  Family     at the door if you haven’t already picked up your tickets.   The BBQ is coming from Middle Park and the sides, desserts, dinnerware, auction items,  etc,  are coming from our wonderful volunteers.   Grand County folks are the BEST!

Grab your family and buddies.   It’s gonna be fun.

Caucus Schedule:    Make sure you are a registered Republican voter with our County Clerk so you can participate at these most crucial gatherings where you have a voice.

Assembly and Convention Schedule:   Dear Voters:  Our precinct caucus meetings are scheduled for March 16th at 7 PM.   Listed below is the list of precinct chairs and where those caucus meetings will be held.   We have some really exciting candidates running this year and your attendance at your caucus meetings is the first, important step in getting these good guys onto the primary ballot.   Run as a delegate yourself, or know who you’d like to represent you as delegates.

At the precinct meetings, each person interested in running as delegate will write his/her name at the front of the room, and then will take the floor for a couple of minutes to express why he/she would be a good delegate to County.  The number of delegates selected from each precinct varies between 5 and 12, depending on voter turnout in ’08.   One delegate from each precinct will also be chosen to go all the way to the State Assembly.  There will be a votes cast by written ballots for both County Delegates and the State Delegate.    Those choosing to be delegates must be aware of the time commitments they are making for the respective assemblies.

The County Assembly will be held on March 28th, at 2 PM at the Kremmling High School, and the State Assembly will be May 21st and May 22nd at the Budweiser Convention Center in Loveland.  This State Assembly is where final votes are cast to determine which candidates make it onto the primary election ballots for the summer primary elections.

Precinct Meetings:   March 16th 7 PM    (Contact Us if you need help figuring out your precinct.  See below for precinct locations.)
